The Mercedes-Benz EQC Is Making Big Sparks!

The range of Mercedes-Benz vehicles is impressive and covers all categories: sedans (Mercedes-Benz C-Class, but also A and E and the astonishing C63 AMG Coupe for sale), convertibles, SUVs and trucks. But the Germans are constantly innovating and making their vehicles even more fuel-efficient. The result is the all-new, all-electric 2021 Mercedes-Benz EQC, which is now making its debut in the showroom.

Mercedes-Benz in Quebec is making a name for itself thanks to dealerships like Mercedes-Benz Blainville on the North Shore of Montreal near Terrebonne, Laval, Boisbriand and Saint-Jérôme. Today, they tell us about the powerful and elegant Mercedes-Benz EQC 400.

An Electric Luxury SUV

The 2021 EQC shows that at Mercedes-Benz, electrification already goes farther than just down the road. A small team of specialist developers created a controllable technology platform in an EQC 400 4MATIC to show the world that it’s possible to make an all-electric SUV.

Remember that the number 400 next to the EQC refers to the range in kilometres, so with its 80 kWh battery, the Mercedes-Benz EQC can take you far… very far. With its two electric motors, this luxury SUV produces 402 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque. You’ll get chills as it takes off with undeniable power; reaching 0–100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds.

In short, the 2021 Mercedes-Benz EQC has a long range (around 400 km in normal conditions), is powerful and efficient, and its engine recharges in less than 11 hours on a 240-volt terminal.

This unique SUV was developed by a team led by development engineer Jürgen Eberle. "Our goal was to combine modern luxury and durability with emotional appeal. The EQC 400 shows how enjoyable sustainable mobility can be. This is where the high technology of electromobility and an intriguing customer experience is transferred to the mountains, thanks to MBUX and live updates".

To sum it all up, "electric and modern luxury is available off-road," says Markus Schäfer, member of the Management Board of Daimler AG, Head of Group Research and of Mercedes-Benz Cars in Germany.

Through this new technology platform, Mercedes-Benz is demonstrating that the love of adventure can be combined with lifestyle and sustainability. Its capabilities include driving on sand in desert regions as well as on beaches, on rocky terrain and in mountain streams. In addition to great reliability and driving comfort, the advanced features of the standard model also allow the use of a trailer to carry even more equipment on your big adventure.

It’s important to note that the 2021 EQC distinguishes itself from other Mercedes-Benz models with its front grille and the illuminated emblem in the centre.

Its interior is luxurious, refined and very elegant. With the latest version of the MBUX interface (with the most recent updates) and its two 10.25-inch touch screens, you’ll stay in touch with the world, no matter where you are. The ultra-comfortable seats will help you relax during your trip. Passengers in the rear seat will enjoy ample legroom and plenty of daylight thanks to the expansive windows.
