Mercedes-Benz EQS vs. Porsche Taycan: not the same world

All-electric luxury and performance cars are starting to hit the market in droves, and for the buyer, it can get a little confusing. And the offerings are very interesting.

Take the Porsche Taycan for example. We're talking about a visually spectacular car with a driving experience that is beyond reproach. Yet, it has nothing to envy to the new darling of Mercedes-Benz, the EQS sedan.

Let's see why the latter is more interesting than the Taycan, despite all its qualities.

Luxury

Let's face it, we're talking about two luxury sedans. Inside the Taycan, the richness is palpable while the quality of the materials is very present. The visual environment is good, too, but not revolutionary.

Inside the Mercedes-Benz proposition, everything is pushed to another level. The visual presentation is superior, especially with that screen (Hyperscreen) that dominates the dashboard.

The multimedia system

Let's continue on the same theme. The 56-inch screen of the EQS hides the MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) multimedia system, which is without a doubt one of the best in the industry. And it's easy to use. The Taycan's interface is more complex and the two screens in the center console are not always intuitive. In short, you'll find your bearings much faster in the EQS than in the Taycan.

Comfort

On the road, the Taycan offers performance to spare, but also an excellent level of comfort. However, its suspension settings are firmer. With the EQS, it's possible to modulate everything more effectively with the air suspension. But in any case, when it comes to ride smoothness, the EQS is really somewhere else.

Range

Finally, let's finish with the range. At best, the Porsche Taycan will give you 396 kilometers of electric freedom. That's good, but compared to the 547 kilometers offered by the EQS, we're not in the same range, that's obvious. With the former, for long trips, you'll probably have to plan a stop to recharge. With the EQS, you can probably skip that step and get to your destination in one go.

Come by the dealership to discover all the subtleties and the great quality of the Mercedes-Benz EQS. Seduction awaits you.
